# Vehicle brands · v1.1

`GET https://bemap.benomad.com/bgis/service/vehicle/1.1/getbrands`

> **List vehicle brands.** The brands of the vehicle database, for the first step of a vehicle picker.

Returns the list of available vehicle brands.

Requires the Vehicle or EV smart routing option (Allow to get the information of vehicle); without it BeMap answers `400 Access Denied`.

## Response

`200`, schema `VehicleBrandsResponseV1Dot1`.

- `brands` (BrandInfoV1Dot1[], required): A list of brands.
  - `id` (string, required): Id of brand.ID that can be used in API `findvehicles` and `getlevelvehicleinfo` to get the vehicle models of that brand.
  - `label` (string, required): Name of brand. commercial brand name.

## Errors

- `400`: Bad Request
- `302`: no credentials were sent. Do not follow the redirect.
- `401`: the account or the API key is wrong.
